Alumni Travel Award applications are now open for U.S. and European Amgen Scholars.
With support provided by the Amgen Foundation, the Amgen Scholars Program first introduced the Alumni Travel Awards in 2010, as an effort to support students’ professional development, networking opportunities, and continued engagement in research following their summers as Amgen Scholars.
To date, nine former scholars from the US and four from Europe had been selected to present at conferences in Japan, England, Spain, and the U.S. on a wide range of topics, including artificial life, biomechanics, emotion research, epigenetics, and vision sciences. You can read more about these experiences on the Travel Awards Blog. Details regarding eligibility, funding levels, and application specifics reside on the Amgen Scholars Program online community. Note that travel award details (including eligibility criteria and deadlines) vary for the U.S. and European programs.
Award recipients will be announced in the spring.
