Amgen Scholars Share Benefits of Summer Research Program on NPR Station

KCLU radio, the local NPR affiliate in Thousand Oaks, recently aired an interview with two Amgen Scholars as well as Scott Heimlich, senior program officer for the Amgen Foundation. Scott and the students talk about the Amgen Scholars Program, which provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to engage in hands-on research at some of the world’s leading universities, and how the experience helps prepare them for careers in science.
